First Wine Dinner of Hyderabad Wine Club - December 21st 2003The first wine dinner of Hyderabad Wine Club has been organized on 21st December 2003 at the residence of Balaji Rao BK, President of the Club. Since the total number is less and deliberations regarding future activities are necessary, it is decided to have this informal meeting followed by Wine dinner. A total number of 11 people attended the dinner. it was decided and the wines were purchased from the local market from club funds. Both Riviera White and Red - both dry were chosen
After having discussions about the future activities of club a wine dinner was arranged. I won’t call it an extraordinary Wine Dinner, but I can proudly announce it as an attempt to keep the activities of our club rolling.
We are planning to have a membership drive and we will invite people known to present members and who can vouch for them. Depending upon the response, we will plan for our Formal Wine Dinner on 25th of January 2004.
Wine position in Hyderabad is bad and a very limited range of wines are (may be around seven) are available, that too at a higher cost compared to our neighboring states. Presently we are trying to procure them through some of our colleagues, who are visiting other states near future. We will do this until the time some wine maker comes forward with an offer to sponsor.
